Believing in the mutual benefit of knowledge and experience sharing, the Swiss Government, through the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students awards postgraduate scholarships to Ukrainian researchers for the 2025/26 academic year in order to promote international exchange and to support research cooperation between Switzerland and Ukraine.

The Swiss Government awards three types of scholarships to Ukrainian researchers:

• Research scholarships
• PhD scholarships
• Postdoctoral Scholarships

at Swiss universities, Federal Institutes of Technology and universities of Applied Sciences.

No university scholarships for bachelor or master studies are granted.

For each country, the precise information about the different types of scholarships available and the admission specification for the academic year 2025/26 is published online on the webpage of the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students FCS.

Please, check this information. The candidates have to meet the eligibility criteria.

Applicants can also download the application package on the SERI webpage. These documents can be found in the ZIP folder “ESKAS Application Package 2025-2026”.

If your scientists, researchers and PhD students meet the eligibility criteria, the Embassy encourages them to prepare an application file.

The complete application file has to be printed and returned to the Embassy of Switzerland in Kyiv in 2 copies before 05.12.2024.
