 Second call MSCA4Ukraine 2024

The European Commission has announced the launch of the second MSCA4Ukraine call (the material is already available on the website, and applications can be submitted from August 5 to September 5, 2024).

The scheme aims to help excellent scientists (both PhD students and post-docs) from Ukraine continue their work in EU Member States and Horizon Europe associated countries in any domain of research and innovation with excellent conditions and access to training, skills and career development opportunities for a period between six months and two years.

The call will be open to Ukrainian nationals, stateless persons, and nationals from other countries with their main residence in Ukraine on 24 February 2022 who have been displaced as of that date and who are currently based outside the country.

Fellowship rates are in line with that of MSCA Doctoral Networks and Postdoctoral Fellowships as specified in the Horizon Europe WP 2021-2022 – MSCA for doctoral and postdoctoral fellowships and adjusted by the corresponding country correction coefficient. The scheme will provide family allowances to help selected researchers with family responsibilities, and a special needs allowance to support those with disabilities and facilitate their participation.

The first step for researchers wishing to apply is to prepare an application together with their potential host organisation, who will then submit the proposal on their behalf.

Selected researchers will start their fellowships by early 2025. They will be able to start a new project or continue their previous work and pursue their research in any subject of their choice, including issues directly linked to helping Ukraine and its recovery.
