We are pleased to inform you about the scholarship opportunities available for exchange students interested in pursuing short-term studies at Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) in Lithuania.

Scholarship Details

• Type: Short-term studies (1-2 semesters) for the 2025-2026 academic year.
• Number of Scholarships: Up to 35 scholarships are available.
• Eligible Countries: Citizens of the following countries are eligible to apply:
  Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Canada, China (People’s Republic of China and Taiwan), India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, New Zealand, South Korea, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, the United States of America, Vietnam and foreign citizens of Lithuanian origin of non-EU and non-EFTA countries.
  Additionally, foreigners of Lithuanian origin from any country are eligible to apply.

Financial Support

Monthly Stipend:

• €560 for students in the first (Bachelor) and second (Master) study cycles.
• €1,120 for students in the third (PhD) study cycle.

Tuition Fees: Covered by the Republic of Lithuania and directly transferred to the higher education institution.

Eligibility Requirements

• Conditional Agreement: Obtain an official approval of acceptance (Conditional Agreement) from MRU.
• Citizenship: Must be a citizen of one of the eligible countries listed above.
• Current Enrollment: Must be a student at a higher education institution abroad.
• Language Proficiency: Good knowledge of Lithuanian, English, or another language required for the chosen study program (minimum B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

Application Process

Online Application: Submit your application through the online application system by the deadline.

Required Documents:

• Completed application form.
• Conditional Agreement for Studies, signed by the candidate and representatives from both the sending and receiving institutions.
• One recommendation letter from academic staff or an employer.
• Certificate of proficiency in the language of instruction.
• For applicants of Lithuanian origin: A document proving Lithuanian origin, issued by a competent authority.

Important Dates

• Application Deadline: May 6, 2025, by 4:00 p.m. Vilnius European time.
• Notification of Results: Candidates will be informed about the selection results by July 1, 2025.
