In pursuit of this goal, the organization is pleased to announce its annual writing contest, an opportunity for you to enhance your profile and contribute to important discussions shaping the future of Europe.

The contest is open to all currently enrolled students, as well as recent graduates from the academic year 2024. Original articles are welcomed on a wide range of topics, including Economy and Trade, Industry and Business, Literature and Cultural Studies, Political Science and  Governance, International Relations, Sociology, Law and Human Rights, Environmental Studies and Climate Policy, Innovation and Technology, Energy and Sustainability, Education and  Research Collaboration, Migration and Demographic Studies, Public Policy and Administration,  Regional Development and Urban Planning, Security Studies and Geopolitics. Each submission should have a focus – at least partially – on Central and Eastern Europe, in alignment with Blue  Europe’s mission.

This year, two prizes of €1000 and €500 to the first and second places respectively are offered. All participants will also receive a signed certificate containing the evaluation of their paper, as well as the opportunity to be published on Blue Europe. It is a great opportunity to showcase your knowledge to our broad audience and get recognition for your work.

The competition has begun on September 1, 2024, and registration (abstracts) must be received by January 31, 2025. Final papers must be then received by May 31, 2025. Please note that the organizing committee reserves the right to extend the deadlines if necessary. To participate, you must provide proof of enrolment in a certified university or recent graduation and submit either a full paper or an abstract related to one of the subjects mentioned above.
