The university has a separate structural division of the university – the Department for Educational Work and Humanitarian Education, whose activities are aimed at coordinating educational work within the framework of the national program of humanitarianization of education. The activity of the department focuses on the formation of the worldview position and value orientations of the student as an individual, transmission of ideas, views, beliefs, ideals, traditions, customs, and other socially significant assets of spiritual culture.
The main functions of the Department are focused on the organizational and methodological support of the educational process, as well as the organization and coordination of the work of deputy directors/deans for educational work, curators of academic groups of students, leaders of student self-government in university institutes/faculties; consultative work is underway to assist student leaders in organizing work among students.
The main tasks of the Department:
- promoting the development of humanitarian work;
- development of the legal framework for the management of educational work;
- preparation of methodological recommendations regarding the organization and implementation of educational work;
- promotion of the organization of a truly effective integrated system of educational work;
- definition and implementation of priority areas of humanitarian and educational work;
- implementation of scientifically based and practically tested methods and forms of education for student youth.
In the system of humanitarian and educational work of the university, some vectors of youth policy are distinguished:
- national-patriotic;
- culture, art, and leisure;
- professional direction and career;
- health and sports;
- socio-psychological work and preventive education;
- activity of student self-government bodies;
- information policy and media relations;
- tourism activities and cooperation with UNESCO.
