The system of internal assurance of the quality of educational activities and the quality of higher education
The system of internal assurance of the quality of educational activities and the quality of higher education functions at the Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University (hereinafter – CHNU or the University).
The goal of the system of internal quality assurance of education is to create stable trust in the University, on the part of society and employers, as a provider of services for the training of highly educated, competitive specialists for the needs of society, who meet the best international requirements and possess a high level of quality of the acquired knowledge.
The system of internal assurance of the quality of educational activities and the quality of higher education, in accordance with the University's policy, provides for:
- compliance with the principles of ensuring the quality of higher education;
- ensuring the availability of the necessary resources for the organization of the educational process and support for those seeking higher education;
- improving the quality of the contingent of higher education applicants;
- promoting the improvement of scientific and pedagogical skills of professors and teaching staff, employees of the University;
- development of information systems in order to increase the efficiency of management of the educational process;
- creation of an effective system of prevention and detection of academic plagiarism in scientific and educational works of employees and students of higher education of the University;
- conducting internal monitoring of the quality of activity of the structural units of the University, which ensure the functioning of the educational process;
- ensuring publicity of information about the University's activities;
- organization of scientific, scientific-methodical seminars, round tables for young scientists, teachers, guarantors, etc.
The system of ensuring the quality of higher education at the University is formed at the following levels: the first is higher education applicants; the second – department (guarantors of educational programmes, teachers, curators of academic groups); the third – faculties/institutes (deans/directors, deputy deans/deputy directors, professional methodical commissions, academic councils of faculties/institutes); the fourth level – rectorate, Scientific Advisory Board, educational and methodical commission of the Scientific Council, Centre for ensuring the quality of specialist training; the fifth – the Academic Council, the Supervisory Board of the University.
