The Educational Department is a structural subdivision of the Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.

In its work, the Educational Department is guided by the Constitution of Ukraine, laws of Ukraine, normative acts of the President of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Rector’s decrees and orders, Regulations on the Educational Department of the Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.

The purpose of the Educational Department's operating: ensuring the implementation of the Concept of educational activities of the University, coordinating actions on issues of scientific-pedagogical, scientific-methodological work, implementation and improvement of the management system and quality control of the educational process.

The Educational Department organises the educational process at the University, carries out operational control over compliance by the educational units of the University with the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education", the Statute and the Rules of Internal Procedure of the University, other regulatory documents governing the activities of the higher educational institution, Rector’s orders; develops a set of measures regarding the organisation and implementation of licensing and accreditation of areas (specialties) in which specialists are trained; monitors the quality of the University's educational services and ensures the training of specialists in accordance with state standards. 

Main Areas of Activity

  • planning of the educational process, coordination of educational plans, volumes and distribution of educational work, schedules of classes, tests, exams, schedules for rescheduling academic debt;
    coordination of the work of faculties on the organisation of educational and production practices and their methodological support, participation in the conclusion of agreements and communication with practice bases, control over the implementation of the practice programme by students and the effectiveness of management on the part of structural units; 
    keeping statistics, accounting for the movement of the student contingent, success and missed classes, preparation of monthly and annual reports of the Department and the university, forming lists of students and making operational changes in them in accordance with orders;
  • ensuring the operation of the information centre of the "Education" IPN (information and production node), organising the work of educational units regarding the ordering of student documents produced on the basis of photo-computer technologies (student tickets, diplomas on education);
  • planning and control over professional improvement of teachers' qualifications, provision of organisational and methodical support, preparation of planning and reporting documentation;
  • tracking the receipt of normative and administrative documents of the central governing bodies on the educational process at the university and prompt informing of structural units, ordering blank products and keeping their records (including strict reporting forms);
  • accounting and analysis of the employment of the audience fund for its effective use.
  • tracking and analysis of the content of professional education in accordance with the university license, the quality of the organisation of the educational process at faculties, departments and the quality of conducting various forms of control;
  • preparation of materials for meetings of the scientific and methodological council of the university and organisational support for the effectiveness of its work;
  • providing methodological assistance in the organisation of the educational process and preparation of educational documentation at faculties and departments;
  • development and implementation of the latest information technologies to ensure effective organisation of the educational process;
  • holding meetings-seminars on issues of organisation of the educational process and methodological provision of quality training of specialists with deputy deans for educational and methodical work, heads of method councils of faculties and method commissions of areas and specialties;
  • determination of perspectives and priority areas of development of educational and scientific-methodical work at the university.
  • provision of informational, advisory and practical assistance to structural divisions of the university in the preparation of documents regarding the opening and licensing of new specialties (educational programme in regulated specialties);
  • implementation of a set of preparatory measures regarding the organisation and self-analysis of the accreditation of educational programme from which specialists are trained;
  • ensuring timely registration of licenses and certificates, re-registration in the event of their expiration; 
  • implementation of support for licensing cases of specialties (educational programme from regulated specialties) at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and accreditation cases of educational programme at the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance (NAQA); 
  • preparation of packages of documents and provision of consideration of the justification of the possibility of structural units of the university regarding the licensing of specialist training activities;
  • study of changes in the regulatory and legal framework for licensing and accreditation, summarisation of the received information and informing the structural units of the university;
  • preparation of proposals for candidacy of licensing and accreditation experts from among university employees at the request of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine;
  • analysis, generalisation and statistical processing of information regarding the compliance of the state of provision of specialties with accreditation requirements;
  • development and submission of recommendations to improve the quality of specialist training in accordance with accreditation requirements;
  • ensuring storage of materials from licensing and accreditation examination of specialties and educational programme of the university.
  • provision of advice on admission to postgraduate studies, doctoral studies and university attachment by applicants;
  • organisation of the university's process of ordering public places in postgraduate and doctoral studies;
  • accepting documents of entrants to postgraduate studies, doctoral studies and applicants;
  • coordination of the work of the examination session;
  • issuance of orders on changes in the contingent of post-graduate students, doctoral students and applicants;
  • issuance of the necessary documents after the completion of postgraduate studies, doctoral studies and attachment by the applicant.
