UNITA Alliance Goverment Board Meeting at UNIBS
At the end of October, the Italian city of Brescia hosted a meeting of the board of the UNITA Alliance of European Universities, an active member of which is Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University. Over two days, members of the alliance’s governing council (rectors of 12 partner universities) and the management committee (vice-rectors and administrators responsible for project coordination) convened across various platforms to discuss the vision for the next stages of joint activities. Representing our university at these meetings were Rector Dr. Ruslan Biloskurskyi, Doctor of Economics and Professor, along with Associate Professor Iryna Horokholinska, Doctor of Philosophy, and Coordinator of the UNITA Project Office from the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Studies. The alliance's fundamental goals and project objectives include fostering extensive cooperation in education, research, and innovation to ensure sustainable and long-term impacts; creating an inter-university "campus" through the integration of best practices, experiences, knowledge, and infrastructure; and collaborating with stakeholders to address societal challenges.

International Week at USMB
On 14-18 October, the University of Savoy Mont Blanc, which is our partner in the UNITA alliance of European universities, hosted events on internationalisation, search for partners for international cooperation (mobility programmes, scientific and educational cooperation) - International week, as well as coworking spaces for the implementation of interdisciplinary approaches in scientific and pedagogical activities - STEAM Staff Week.

Student Assembly at UVT
From September 26 to October 1, 2024, students from our university, Bohdana Krechunyak and Khrystyna Chubotaru, participated in the UNITA Introductory Week held at the West University of Timișoara (Romania). The main objective of the event was to familiarize students with the specifics of university life. Participants were offered various opportunities for their professional development. The program included students' participation in an official ceremony organized by UVT, the UNIVIBES student festival, and the Liberty Marathon. Particular attention was paid to student involvement in workshops and a session dedicated to academic mobility and other opportunities provided by the UNITA consortium.

CHNU for the first time at EAIE2024
On18 September , Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University was represented for the first time at the 34th meeting of the EAIE - European Association for International Education, the largest event in the field of internationalisation of education in Europe, which took place in Toulouse, France. Search for new partners and interesting acquaintances, meetings within the UNITA alliance, development of international cooperation, consultations with Ukrainian colleagues and representatives of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine & HERE team. More than 7,000 participants from 90 countries, representatives of universities, educational organisations and unions, authorities and professional associations, more than 200 presentation stands, 240 events where they meet, learn best practices, generate ideas and establish connections.

ReUNITA Staff WEEK
On 2-4 July, the University of Pau (France) hosted a series of events aimed at deepening cooperation in the research field - the closing conference of the ReUNITA (Research for UNITA) project.

Delegation from CHNU at UNITA WEEK
From 17 to 21 June, the Transylvanian University of Brasov (Brasov, Romania) hosted an event called UNITA WEEK, which was attended by representatives of 12 European universities from France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Romania, Switzerland and Ukraine. These universities are members of the UNITA consortium, which brings together higher education institutions to promote cooperation and innovation in the educational and scientific space. Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, the only Ukrainian university in the alliance, has been an associate member since 2022.

Internationalization of Curricula Through UNITA 2024
On 5-6 June, the Western University of Timisoara (Romania) hosted a series of events entitled "Internationalization of Curricula Through UNITA 2024". The event was organised by the UNITA consortium of European universities, of which Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University is an associate member. It brought together 200 academic staff from 12 European universities from France, Italy, Spain, Romania, Portugal, Switzerland, and Ukraine.

UNITA Open Day at CHNU
In May, Ukraine celebrates Science Day – this provided an excellent opportunity for representatives of the UNITA Office at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University (CHNU) to present the opportunities available to the university community through the alliance's initiatives. UNITA Open Day brought together the academic community, interested students, and office representatives for a joint discussion about potential mobility opportunities with partner universities (Erasmus+, Virtual Mobility, BIPs, and in the future – Rural Mobility), educational forms of interaction, the activities of Research Hubs, prospects for joint scientific initiatives, as well as the values and vision promoted by the alliance.

Creation of the UNITA Project Office
For a clearer consolidation of efforts in this direction and expansion of the horizons of this cooperation, which is useful both for the educational and scientific activities of the university, and in general – on the path of European integration of Ukraine for the actual entry of Ukrainian universities into the space of European practices, by order of Rector Roman Petryshyn on March 26, 2024, the "UNITA Project Office" at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University was created.

UNITA Training – Building University Community
20-21 March, the University of Zaragoza (Spain), which is a partner of our university in the UNITA consortium, hosted a series of trainings for employees involved in the implementation of specific areas of the consortium's work - the formation of mechanisms for the effective implementation of educational and scientific mobility of students and academic staff: "UNITA Training - Building University Community".

Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University at "UNITAWEEK"
From October 30 to November 3 at the University of Savoie Mont Blanc (Chambery, France), representatives of 12 European universities summarized the results and also planned further joint scientific-organizational and scientific-research activities, at an event under the general name "UNITAWEEK".

Internationalization of education through UNITA
On March 16-17, 2023, representatives of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University: Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Professor Iryna Osovska, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic and Mathematical Modeling Olena Vinnychuk and Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages for the Faculty of Science Tetyana Tonenchuk became participants in an international educational event - a meeting of the UNITA alliance on the internationalization of educational programs, held at the University of Turin, Turin, Italy.

CHNU received the status of an associate member of the "UNITA" consortium
On June 1-3, a meeting of the consortium of European universities "UNITA" took place on the basis of the Western University of Timisoara (Romania).
