Control measures carried out at the university determine the compliance of the level of knowledge, skills and abilities acquired by students with the requirements of normative documents on higher education and ensure timely adjustment of the educational process.

The following types of control are used: input (zero); current; final (a variant of which is semester and final attestation).

Input (zero) control is a diagnosis of the student's level of knowledge, which is used as a prerequisite for the successful organisation of the study of an academic discipline. The choice and implementation of this type of control is the department's prerogative.

Current control is a control that is carried out during the study of an educational discipline in order to identify the degree of understanding of the student's learned educational material and the ability to apply it in practical work.

Forms of current control: face-to-face and individual interviews, conducting terminological dictations, solving written tasks, practical situations, etc.

Semester control is a type of final control that reveals the student's level of assimilation of an educational discipline or its separate logical completed part, taking into account the results of the current control.

Forms of semester control: assessment and exam – are determined by the working curriculum of professional training and specified in the programme of the academic discipline.

Credit as a form of final control is carried out based on the results of tasks completed by the student, determined by the programme of the educational discipline during its assimilation, the programme of industrial practice, coursework, project, etc.

Assessment results are evaluated on a two-point national scale ("passed", "failed"), a 100-point scale of the university and ECTS and then are documented in the performance record, the score book (student’s individual study plan). The student has a record book (student’s individual plan).

The exam as a type of final control of students' educational achievements is carried out at the stage of completion of the study of the academic discipline as a whole or its part.

Attestation of persons obtaining a bachelor's or master's degree is carried out by an examination board, which may include representatives of employers and their associations, according to self-assessment, which are components of electronic textbooks and automated training courses.
