Activity
The Chief Engineer's Service is a structural unit of the Administrative Economic Part (AEP) of the university, created for the safe and accident-free operation of the university's buildings, structures and engineering networks.
The service includes the following subdivisions of the administrative and economic parts:
- Technical Department;
- Chief Mechanic's Service
- Chief Power Engineer's Service;
- Repair and Maintenance Service;
- Water Supply and Drainage Service.
In accordance with the above, the Chief Engineer's Service performs the following main functions:
- carries out current repairs of buildings, structures and water supply and sewage networks;
- performs planned and preventive work of boiler houses, electrical networks and equipment;
- ensures trouble-free operation of gas networks;
- performs inventory repairs for implementation of the educational process;
- orders design and estimate documentation for the construction, reconstruction and capital repair of buildings, structures, engineering networks, land acquisition projects and expert evaluations of property leased by the university;
- prepares materials for drawing up contracts with contractors for capital and current repairs of buildings, structures and engineering networks of the university;
- organizes work in accordance with concluded contracts, prepares inspection reports, defect reports;
- verifies the scope of the completed repair, construction and restoration works, the correctness of the application of norms of labour, material and technical resources in accordance with state construction norms and rules and other regulatory documents;
- draws up annual plans for reconstruction, major and current repairs of buildings, structures and engineering networks of the university by contracting and economic methods;
- keeps records and certification of buildings, structures, engineering networks;
- carries out inspections of the technical condition of buildings, structures and engineering networks;
- conducts the preparation of educational buildings for the academic year and operation in the autumn-winter period.
