Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University receives powerful server equipment from international partners

On 12 February, Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University received 20 modern Dell and HP servers for use. This will significantly expand the technical capabilities of the university, improve the educational process and research, and ensure the stable operation of internal information systems.

This important support was made possible by our reliable partners from the Netherlands and Ukraine – Wim Bos, founder of Lumiad, and Tjerk Geersing and Mykhailo Shkurei, founders of Yukon Software. Their contribution is the result of a long-lasting close cooperation between these companies and the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of the Chernivtsi National University.

After the official transfer of the equipment, the university management met with representatives of the donor companies to discuss further prospects for cooperation, including opportunities for joint research, development of innovative educational projects, and expansion of the university's technical base.

The meeting was attended by:

It is worth noting that this is not the first contribution of the partners to the development of the university. Earlier, the university had already received equipment to ensure the reliable functioning of the internal corporate network, which guarantees a stable and fast Internet connection even during blackouts. The university also received modern monitors to upgrade its computer labs, which significantly improved the learning environment for students.

Cooperation with Yukon Software and Lumiad continues, bringing not only innovative ideas but also their effective implementation. Thanks to this interaction, the university gets opportunities for technological development, the creation of new educational programmes and the provision of students with modern digital tools.

We sincerely thank our partners for their support, trust and significant contribution to the future of education and science!
