The University hosted a presentation of the book Language. Man. Time.

On February 21, the presentation of the book Language. Man. Time. dedicated to the memory of the prominent linguist, Professor Nadiia Babych. The event was held on International Mother Language Day, which endowed it with a special symbolism.

The event brought together scholars, educators, students and public figures. The presentation was moderated by Larysa Markuliak, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Philology. Speeches were made by Vice-Rector for International Relations and Humanitarian Work Iryna Osovska, Dean of the Faculty of Philology Yaroslav Redkva, the author's daughter, assistant professor of the Department of Journalism Olesia Zhuk, Honoured Journalist Valentyna Bondar, as well as colleagues and students of Nadiia Babych.

The book Language. Man. Time. was published by the Bukrek Publishing House and contains the texts of Professor Babych's radio programme. The publication was made possible thanks to the initiative of her daughter and the support of her colleagues.

The presentation was accompanied by audio fragments of the radio broadcasts and video materials that reflected the significant contribution of Nadiia Babych to the development of Ukrainian linguistics. The final chord of the event was a performance by the People's Artist of Ukraine Ivan Derda.

The event once again emphasised the importance of preserving and promoting the Ukrainian language, which was the main cause of Nadiia Babych's life.
