On April 28, a meeting was held in the office of the Rector of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, Ruslan Biloskurskyi, with representatives of the Charitable Organization "Cvitche-na Natsiia" (Cultivated Nation). During the event, a Memorandum of Cooperation and an Agreement on the Provision of Charitable Assistance in the form of funding scholarships (grants) for gifted students were signed.
The purpose of the Memorandum is to support talented youth and consolidate the efforts of both parties to implement and protect the right to higher education. The subject of the Memorandum is joint multi-vector activities aimed at achieving this goal through the organization and implementation of joint events, completion of tasks and projects, exchange of information, provision of grants, and other forms of student support.
Cooperation will be carried out in the following areas:
- creation of effective and acceptable forms of interaction for all participants in the educational process;
- participation of both parties in the development and implementation of projects for the institution’s advancement, and coordination of socially significant issues concerning its operation;
- attraction of additional funding sources;
- creation of an open educational system;
- coordination of actions aimed at forming a modern, comfortable, and safe educational environment.
In addition, an Agreement on Cooperation and Provision of Charitable Assistance in the form of funding student tuition was signed between the university and the Charitable Organization “Charitable Foundation ‘Cultivated Nation’”.
The grant is awarded for obtaining education at the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education. It will cover educational programs accredited and offered by the university, which will be selected by the Donor.
The main requirements for grant candidates are:
- high academic performance in grades 9–11 of general secondary education institutions;
- low financial capacity to pay for tuition;
- successful completion of entrance exams, a creative competition, or a professional test as required by the grant conditions.
The Memorandum and Agreement are concluded for a five-year period. We hope that this cooperation will be fruitful and effective.
