On 16 April, Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University hosted the opening of the Veteran Development Centre.
The event was attended by the Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, the rector of the university, veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war, representatives of the university community, local authorities, the public, the educational environment and volunteer organisations.
The aim of the Centre is to support and develop veterans in their transition from military to civilian life, and to strengthen cooperation between civil society, the veteran community and students. The Centre will become a space for initiatives and training.
During the meeting, Minister Nataliia Kalmykova and Rector Ruslan Biloskurskyi signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, which confirms their joint intentions to develop the Centre. The parties expressed their sincere interest in the partnership and stressed the importance of joining forces to achieve a common goal. They expressed gratitude, support and confidence in productive future cooperation.
