On 26 February, the first meeting of the newly elected Trade Union of the Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University (chairman – Vitalii Kindzerskyi) took place. The meeting outlined the main areas of activity of the Trade Union organisation for the coming period and made important organisational decisions.

The meeting elected the Presidium of the Trade Union committee and considered the formation of permanent committees responsible for the organisational, socio-economic, cultural, sports and information activities of the organisation. 

Particular attention was paid to social initiatives and the issue of increasing the level of information transparency of the Trade Union through the development of web resources and social networks. The possibilities of improving the material and technical support of the Trade Union bureaus of the faculties, institutes and other university departments were also discussed.

The first meeting of the Trade Union committee launched new projects and initiatives aimed at supporting union members and developing the university community. The participants expressed their readiness for active cooperation to create comfortable working conditions, social protection and comprehensive support for the staff of Chernivtsi National University.
