On May 4, the Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University officially opened a new educational and consultation space – the “Academy of Experience.”
This initiative, launched by the Faculty of Economics, was supported by the Faculty of Pedagogy, Psychology and Social Work, and meaningfully enriched by the Faculty of Philology. The space is intended to foster informal communication, knowledge and experience exchange, and to cultivate a culture of mutual respect and co-creativity within the academic environment.
The aim of the “Academy of Experience” is to create conditions for intergenerational interaction and to fulfill the fundamental needs of each individual — to belong, to be heard, to contribute, and to feel valued in the community.
Distinguished guests attended the opening ceremony, including:
- Acting Rector, Vice-Rector for Scientific-Pedagogical Work, International and Humanitarian Activities – Iryna Osovska;
- Vice-Rector for Scientific-Pedagogical Work and Educational Activities – Tetiana Fedirchyk;
- Head of the University’s Trade Union Organization of Teachers and Staff – Vitalii Kindzerskyi;
- Dean of the Faculty of Economics – Roman Hreshko;
- Dean of the Faculty of Philology – Yaroslav Redkva.
The opening was blessed and its significance affirmed by Father Mykola Shkriblyak of the St. Nicholas Church.
The event was also honored by the presence of People’s Artist of Ukraine and Professor of the Department of Music – Ivan Derda, who expressed his support for the initiative and shared ideas for future collaboration.
The importance of creating the “Academy of Experience” was highlighted by other distinguished guests as well, including:
- Doctor of Philosophy – Vitalii Dokash;
- Candidate of Philological Sciences – Halyna Labovkina;
- Doctor of Chemical Sciences – Larysa Shcherbak;
along with other scholars, lecturers, and university staff members.
A festive atmosphere was created by soloist of the "Dzvin" choral chapel Viktor Burachek and vocalists of the “Rosy” studio from the Center for Student Culture and Leisure at the University – Karina Slyvchuk and Artem Tymofii.
Throughout the event, there was a warm and friendly atmosphere. Participants willingly shared their impressions, sincerely congratulated the organizers of the space, and expressed readiness to join future activities. The space was filled with genuine smiles, inspiration, and the desire to create a community based on mutual support and respect.
The “Academy of Experience” team – Sofiia Kucherivska, Tetiana Kanivets, Halyna Zahaiska, Oleksandra Chorna, Olena Skliarova, Mariia Lysiuk, Mariia Halkina, Angelina Spenul, Viktoriia Honchariuk, Vladyslava Isopesku, Diana Uryvkova, Olha Ilienko, Mishel Hlusiak, and Mariia Strelnikova – will work with dedication for the benefit of the university community to ensure that the “Academy of Experience” becomes a source of inspiration, understanding, and support for every visitor.
