On 29 August, on the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine, at the initiative of the Chernivtsi Unit of the National Guard of Ukraine and with the support of the Rectorate and the Centre for Culture and Leisure of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, a meeting was held with the guardsmen who had recently returned from the combat zone in the Luhansk sector: “Caesar”, “Sokil” and “Levi”. 

The Vice-Rector of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, Iryna Osovska, made a short speech.

Afterwards, the students had a great opportunity to ask the defenders various questions, including amusing moments from their service, morale state at their positions, and the value of culture in our time. In addition, the defenders shared their advice for the Ukrainian youth. 

The audience gave the defenders inspiration and great motivation. At the end of the event, Oleksandr Fysiuk, a member of the Rosy vocal studio, performed several charming Ukrainian songs for the guests and students of the university. 

We are endlessly thankful to the Guards for the opportunity to share a piece of their life and have a good time with our youth. We always remember those who protected our nation and gave us the opportunity to create in civilian life.
