Preservation and Development of the UNESCO Site

Objects: The central buildings of the university, which form part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site – the Residence of the Metropolitans of Bukovina and Dalmatia.

Areas of application / Key priorities:

● Interior repair and restoration works in the central university buildings to preserve cultural heritage, historic interiors, frescoes, marble elements, decorative details, and authentic architectural features;

● Completion of the reconstruction of the economic (service) courtyard into modern tourist infrastructure, including facilities for high-quality excursion services, visitor amenities, and enhanced accessibility;

● Arrangement and landscaping of the space around the central alleys and between the buildings to better reveal and highlight the views of the UNESCO World Heritage object, improving its visual perception and integration into the urban environment;

● Support and modernization of engineering networks – heating, water supply, electricity, security and monitoring systems – to protect the buildings from technogenic risks (accidents, emergencies, failures) and ensure long-term preservation of the heritage site.
