Cloud University
Estimated cost: from UAH 1 600 000 (₴1.6 million+)
Faculties involved: All faculties of the university.
Initiative overview:
The "Cloud University" project involves deploying a university-wide cloud infrastructure based on leading global platforms such as AWS (Amazon Web Services), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. It also includes centralized provision of licensed professional software, including MATLAB, Adobe Creative Cloud (CC), various CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.), and other resource-intensive applications.
This transforms learning into a flexible, modern digital ecosystem: students and researchers gain access to industrial-grade virtual computing resources from anywhere in the world – whether on campus, at home, or abroad. They can perform demanding tasks such as 3D modeling, simulations, big data processing, machine learning experiments, graphic design, video editing, and engineering computations without needing powerful local hardware.
Key benefits include:
● Guaranteed cybersecurity and data protection at the highest standards;
● Enforcement of academic integrity through controlled access and monitoring;
● Equal opportunities for all students, regardless of their personal device capabilities;
● Support for remote and hybrid learning/research, especially valuable in challenging times.
Areas of application:
● Providing a robust technical foundation for training highly qualified specialists in IT, engineering, architecture, media design, data science, and related fields;
● Enabling advanced remote scientific research across disciplines – from computational modeling in physics/chemistry to digital humanities, AI-driven analysis, and creative industries;
● Modernizing the entire educational and research environment to meet international standards and boost the university's global competitiveness.
