On October 9, in the Marble Hall of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University a presentation of a new digital solution, the “Student Portal”: an online service created for the convenience of every student; was held.

This project is a part of the digital transformation strategy of the Chernivtsi National University, which aims to make the university not only a historical, but also an innovative institution, where digital solutions work for the benefit of the educational process and communication.

“Student Portal” - a new service gives students the opportunity to:

• view an individual curriculum (electronic assessment);
• use an interactive map of the university buildings;
• find answers in the “Frequently Asked Questions” section;
• contact the support service;
• view the session schedule.
  
  The developers are already planning to expand the functionality: implement a loyalty module with bonuses for active students, online selection of disciplines, a feedback system and personal analytical panels. A mobile application for the portal is also being prepared.
  
  The project was implemented by the team of the Center for Digital Transformation of Chernivtsi National University together with the Chernivtsi IT Cluster.

• Dmytro Shkilnyuk — CEO of the Chernivtsi IT Cluster.

A special role in the creation of the portal was played by students who participated in the development, design and testing. It was they, as the speakers noted, who “empathized with the portal” — they created it through the eyes of future users.

Chernivtsi National University actively cooperates with IT businesses, local authorities and educational partners, integrating into the regional IT ecosystem. As the management emphasizes, the university is no longer an observer, but a full-fledged participant in the digital development of the region.

The goal is leadership in the digital transformation of education.

ChNU sets an ambitious goal - to become one of the leaders among higher education institutions of Ukraine in the field of digitalization.

“We are not just creating digital services - we are changing the culture of interaction at the university,” said Vice-Rector Andriy Verstyak during the presentation.
