World science day is celebrated in Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University not just by hosting various scientific events. Supporting young scientists is one of the priorities not just on a countrywide, but on a regional level as well. The Chernivtsi city council has been actively supporting our University’s scientists for several years in a row. The scientists not only demonstrate a high level of professional training with their scientific achievements, but also increase the prestige of scientific activities in our community and beyond.

Roman Klichuk, mayor of Chernivtsi, addressed the laureates with a welcome speech and expressed gratitude for vigorous activity and extensive scientific research, conducted by young scientists of our University.

Out of 21 scholarships that were awarded to representatives of leading universities in Bukovyna, 12 were awarded to representatives of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, which demonstrates a powerful pool of talent and is very promising of additions to current scientific schools in different scientific areas of a new generation of scientists.

Laureates of the scholarship are as follows:

• Bzova Laura Heorhiivna, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Assistant at the Department of Procedural Law of the Faculty of Law.
• Hutsul Taras Volodymyrovych, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Geomatics, Land and Agricultural management of the Institute of Biology, Chemistry and Bioresources.
• •  Kukurudziak Mykola Stepanovych, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Assistant at the Institute of Physical, Technical and Computer Sciences.
• Konstantyniuk Svitlana Yuriivna, Assistant at the Department of International Relations and Public Communications of the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations.
• Kochkodan Taras Ivanovych, Assistant at the Department of Geomatics, Land and Agricultural management of the Institute of Biology, Chemistry and Bioresources.
• Krulikovskyi Oleh Valeriiovych, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Assistant at the Department of Radio Engineering and Information Security of the Institute of Physical, Technical and Computer Sciences.
• Kostiuk Uliana Ivanivna, Laboratory Assistant at the Department of Physical Geography, Geomorphology and Paleogeography of the Faculty of Geography.
• Novak Yevheniia Volodymyrivna, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Construction, Decorative and Applied Arts.
• Skorolitnia Alina Ivanivna, Doctor of Philosophy, Assistant at the Department of Algebra and Informatics of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Sciences.
• Solodan Kateryna Volodymyrivna, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Assistant at the Department of Public Law of the Faculty of Law.
• Fen Kateryna Serhiivna, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Assistant at the Department of Marketing, Innovations and Regional Development of the Faculty of Economics.
• Yashan Bohdan Olehovych, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Assistant at the Department of Differential Equations of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science.

Each laureate was awarded with a monetary award of 10,000 hryvnias.
