On 14 May, Karmelia Motrescu and Anna Tatarchuk, students at the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations at Yuri Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, together with their mentor, Irina Ravlyk, a PhD in Political Science – took part in the annual nationwide event "Public Service Promotion Day" and won the All-Ukrainian short video competition "Integrity – Our Conscious Choice".
The event was organised by the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service, UNDP Ukraine and the Higher School of Public Administration.
The event programme was packed:
panel discussions with leading government officials and experts on the topic ‘Public Service Without Myths. Leadership and Responsibility: How Difficult Decisions Are Made’;
practical advice on choosing a career path in the public service;
an ‘Opportunities Fair’, where government bodies presented internship, work experience and employment programmes for young people.
Participants at the event spoke with NADC Chair Nataliia Alyushina, Deputy Director of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine Yurii Bielousov, Deputy Director of NABU Polina Lysenko, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleksandr Karasevych, and Chairman of the Board of the Pension Fund of Ukraine Yevhen Kapinus.
The competition "Integrity – Our Conscious Choice", organised by the All-Ukrainian Charitable Foundation "Children’s Mission. Ukraine” with the support of the National Agency for Civil Service, was one of the most important events of the occasion. The team of students was awarded a winners’ certificate and valuable prizes.
