On January 27, in the Blue Hall of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, the university signed a cooperation agreement with the providers of the regional telecommunication services.

• The partnership agreements were signed with the following companies:

• Limited liability company “Booknet” (director – Oleksandr Voloshchenko);

• Limited liability company “INTELEKT GROUP” (director – Oleksiy Tykhenkyi);

• Private enterprise “FENIX VT” (director – Bohdan Lishchuk);

• Limited liability company “Opticom plus” (director – Valentyn Menkov);

• Limited liability company “Veles ISP” (director – Oleksandr Velykyi).

During the meeting, several points were brought up in the discussion, including the importance of university-employer partnerships, the improvement of the educational “Engineering Information and Communication Technology Systems and Internet of Things” programme, and the enhancement of practical component training for students.

Rector Ruslan Biloskurskyi emphasised the significance of this partnership in terms of the development of the university and providing specialists with hands-on experience. The importance of cooperation with the representatives of the telecommunication field was also highlighted by the director of the Institute of Physical, Technical and Computer Sciences, Petro Shpatar.

Andriy Samila, head of the Department of Radio Engineering and Information Security, outlined the current steps in the practical training of specialists, including the creation of educational and scientific centres “Cyber Range” and “Smart lab”.

The meeting was also joined by the Associate Professor at the Department of Radio Engineering and Information Security, Valentyn Lesinskyi, who has been actively engaging with the partners of the department in telecommunication and cybersecurity.  

Oleksandr Velykyi, Oleksiy Tykhenkyi, and Bohdan Lishchuk represented their organisations at the meeting.

The event concluded with the signing of bilateral partnership agreements and a discussion on establishing a new educational and scientific laboratory at the Department of Radio Engineering and Information Security. 

This cooperation provides new opportunities for practical student training, shared educational and scientific initiatives, and strengthening the connection of the university and employers. Participants shared their expectations for a fruitful and mutually profitable cooperation.
