Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University and the “Mariupol. We are together” public organisation signed a Memorandum of cooperation on the 20th of August. This document signifies the strong desire of both parties to increase the amount of help provided to our defenders. One of the main focuses of the partnership is the creation of camouflage nets for meeting the demands of units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, and other military formations which defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University will get the staff and the students involved in providing volunteer assistance. The “Mariupol. We are together” PO will provide the material and technical resources needed, organise the manufacturing process of nets, and supply soldiers with the camouflage nets.

Our University nowadays is not just a place of education, science, and culture. It is also a large community of compassionate people that understand their responsibility to the country and to the people defending it daily.

Helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine can take different shapes. Not every person is on the frontline, but everyone is able to make an impact. A camouflage net is not just a result of volunteering. It provides protection to the soldiers’ equipment and positions and it is, therefore, a significant result of volunteering which tremendously helps those who defend our lives, cities, the University, and Ukraine’s future.

We encourage the University’s teachers, staff, and students to join this initiative. A couple of hours of our time, joint work, and willingness to help can culminate in something that is crucially important on the frontline.

We support our defenders. We unite the University’s community. We work together and help our country’s Victory to arrive as soon as possible.
