From March 13 to 17, the Ukrainian Junior Grappling Championship took place in Odesa. Students of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University became members of the Chernivtsi Region Team. Chernivtsi region got the first team place.

  3. Matseiko Mykola - 1st place;
  4. Sofronii Andrii - 1st place;

  1. Parashchuk Sofiia - 3rd place.

The winners of this championship entered the National Team of Ukraine and have the opportunity to take part in the European Championship which will be held in May, in Azerbaijan. Associate Professor Ihor Nakonechnyi and Assistant Professor Petro Horiuk worked on the preparation of the athletes.
