Representatives of the ChNU joined in honoring the memory of Taras Shevchenko

On March 9, representatives of the Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, including Rector Ruslan Biloskurskyi, Head of the Trade Union Committee Vitaliy Kindzerskyi, as well as teachers and employees of the university, joined in honoring the memory of the outstanding Ukrainian poet, artist and thinker - Taras Shevchenko - on the occasion of the 212th anniversary of his birth.

The celebrations began with the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine. After that, performances were held by creative groups and schoolchildren of Chernivtsi, who recited Shevchenko's poetry and presented artistic numbers dedicated to his figure and work.

Then, the participants of the event laid flowers at the monument to the Genius of the Ukrainian People. At the end, those present honored the memory of the Great Kobzar with a minute of silence.

Taras Shevchenko is one of the most prominent figures of Ukrainian culture. His poetic works, in particular the collection "Kobzar", have become a spiritual guide for many generations of Ukrainians. In his work, he raised the themes of human dignity, social justice, love for his native land and the desire for freedom. In addition to his literary heritage, Shevchenko also left a significant contribution as an artist, creating hundreds of paintings and graphic works.

Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University supports the tradition of honoring the Great Kobzar, taking care of preserving his creative heritage for future generations. Such events contribute to the understanding of cultural heritage and form a sense of historical continuity of Ukrainian society.
