On October 3, a solemn Divine Service was held in the Church of the Three Saints on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University. The Divine Service was led by the Superior of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphany of Kyiv and All Ukraine.

The distinguished guest was welcomed by the rector of the university Ruslan Biloskurskyi and the head of the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration Ruslan Zaparaniuk, and the deputy head of the Chernivtsi Regional Council Mykhailo Pavliuk. The festive liturgy was also attended by vice-rectors and deans of various structural divisions of the university, who joined in the prayer for the development of the university and the well-being of the Ukrainian people.

 After a joint prayer, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphanius emphasized that on this day the entire university community unites in prays to the Lord for the prosperity and well-being of the Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, for peace in Ukraine and the health of our courageous defenders who protect the freedom and future of the state.

The arrival of Metropolitan Epiphanius to Chernivtsi is a significant event for the university community. His visit emphasized the importance of spiritual and cultural traditions in the life of the university, which has been a place for getting education for new generations of Ukrainian intellectuals for a century and a half.
