Internally Displaced Families Were Provided with Humanitarian Aid at CHNU

Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University has hosted another charitable initiative aimed at supporting IDPs living in the university’s residence halls.

Through cooperation with NGOs and charitable organisations, internally displaced families received food parcels and hygiene kits, while children were provided with essential stationery for the new academic year.

School stationery kits were provided to over 40 children by the NGO Ukrainian-German Cultural Society of Chernivtsi and the charitable organisation Schwaben-Bukowina e.V. Notebooks, writing supplies, and other school essentials will provide vital support for the families ahead of the new school year.

Food parcels and hygiene kits for internally displaced families were provided by the Johanniterorden.

As of today, №5 and №6 dormitories of Chernivtsi National University house over 300 IDPs. Since the full-scale invasion began, not only has the university offered refuge for people who were forced to leave their homes, but it continues to support them and foster social and charitable initiatives.

Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University extends its sincere gratitude to the NGO Ukrainian-German Cultural Society of Chernivtsi, the charitable organisation Schwaben-Bukowina e.V., and the Johanniterorden for their compassion, assistance, and continued support for IDPs.

Such initiatives are an important display of solidarity and mutual support, especially on the eve of the upcoming academic year, when families with children face additional expenses.
