On August 14, the Red Hall of Chernivtsi National University hosted the Forum of Ideas and Opportunities, bringing together veterans and their families, civil society, local authorities, and community leaders. The event was organized by the NGO Public Resources and Initiatives with the support of the university.
Greetings were extended by representatives of the Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration, the Regional Council, the City Council, and Rector Ruslan Biloskurskyi.
The forum featured the presentation of the research “Map of Opportunities for Veterans and Their Families in Chernivtsi Region” by Nataliia Nechaieva-Yuriichuk, Associate Professor of Political Science and Public Administration. Panel discussions focused on veterans’ needs, access to education, and opportunities for collaboration. Speakers included officials from veteran policy departments, local government representatives, and community leaders.
Educational opportunities presented at the forum included programs of the Veteran Development Center at CNU, initiatives of the Regional Employment Center, and non-formal education projects of the organizing foundation. Veterans also shared success stories of entrepreneurship and community engagement.
The forum was held as part of the project “Reintegration of War Veterans through Educational Opportunities: By Veterans, for Veterans” implemented in partnership with DVV International in Ukraine and supported by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
