On August 20, Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University welcomed a delegation from the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM).

The delegation included:

• Dr. Vaughan Turekian, Executive Director, Policy and Global Affairs, NASEM;

• Kathleen Ann Campbell, former President & CEO of CRDF Global, Head of RESET Ukraine Task Force, and Honorary Board Member of the Science and Innovation Fund for Ukraine;

• Dr. Franklin Carrero-Martínez, Senior Director for Global Sustainability and Development, Policy and Global Affairs, NASEM;

• Dr. Yulia Bezvershenko, Senior Program Officer, Policy and Global Affairs, NASEM.

During the meeting, the delegation presented the activities of the U.S. National Academies and discussed prospects for future cooperation. Rector Ruslan Biloskurskyi, together with Vice-Rector for Research Yurii Khalavka and Head of International Relations Serhii Lukaniuk, introduced the university’s research, international collaborations, and opportunities for young scholars.

The dialogue marked an important step in strengthening partnerships between Chernivtsi National University and leading U.S. scientific institutions, fostering innovation, academic mobility, and joint research initiatives.
