On October 22, a meeting between students and representatives of the business and media sectors was held in the Blue Hall of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University. The event was organised as part of Innovation Week and Sustainable Development Days under the international project Climate Engine HEI (EIT Climate-KIC).
Participants learnt how to start their own business, develop professional skills, and overcome challenges on their path to success. The speakers shared their personal experiences, practical advice, and answered students’ questions. Dmytro Tereshchuk, Chief Operating Officer at the international logistics company Consolline; Maryna Skintei, TV and radio host, journalist, and public speaking coach; and Marharyta Kitsul, representative of the “Synychka” Development and Correction Center, reflected on their professional journey.
A major part of the event was dedicated to gender equality, peace, and justice, as sustainable business development requires more than just innovative ideas; equal opportunities for everyone, a responsible attitude toward society, and respect for human rights are essential.
The meeting provided students with the opportunity to network with experts, hear real stories of their professional journeys, and get an understanding of the steps that help turn a simple idea into a real result.
The event supports the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Quality Education (SDG 4), Gender Equality (SDG 5), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (SDG 9), and Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions (SDG 16).
The University continues to create opportunities for students to gain practical knowledge, learn from the experiences of experts, and develop ideas that will become the foundation for future professional and entrepreneurial projects.
