On November 14, a meeting between Rector Ruslan Biloskurskyi and Pankration World Champions, students of the Faculty of Physical Education, Sports and Rehabilitation, took place at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.

The students who scored high results at worldwide competitions were invited to participate in the meeting:

• Yevhen Muradov – World Champion in the weight class up to 100 kg;
• Yana Melnychuk – World Champion in the weight class up to 61 kg;
• Yuliya Melnychuk – World Champion in the weight class up to 65 kg.

Besides the sportsmen, the meeting was joined by the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education, Sports and Rehabilitation, Yurii Moseichuk; Head of the Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Education and Sports, Anna Hakman; and Associate Professor at the Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Education and Sports and Honoured Master of Sports of Ukraine, Ihor Nakonechnyi.

The rector congratulated the students on achieving remarkable results and highlighted – their victory isn’t just a personal accomplishment – it’s a considerable contribution to the development of sports at the university. The achievements of the team couldn’t have been possible without the proper conditions, training, and support provided by Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.

Our university would like to express sincere gratitude to the students and their coaches for their determination, will, and dedication. The victories of the teams served as a decent representation of Ukraine and the university on an international level and inspired the next generation of sportsmen.
