Recently, Martin Sailer, President of the District Council of Swabia, visited Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University. Together with rector Ruslan Biloskurskyi, he discussed the results of the partnership between Swabia and the Chernivtsi region, support for the university during the war, and future joint initiatives.

The rector thanked the German partners for the assistance that the district of Swabia has been providing to the Chernivtsi region and the university since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. According to him, this support has yielded practical results, particularly for internally displaced persons residing in the ChNU dormitories.

The meeting participants discussed the further development of international cooperation and academic exchanges. Ruslan Biloskurskyi emphasized that one of the university's key tasks remains providing quality education and creating opportunities for young people to realize their potential in Ukraine. He also noted that ChNU is actively developing international partnerships and currently cooperates with more than 240 foreign institutions.

Special attention was paid to the cooperation with the University of Augsburg—one of ChNU's oldest international partners, interaction with which is based on shared values, trust, and long-standing academic ties.

Among other topics of the meeting were new areas of cooperation and prospects for implementing joint projects.

The parties confirmed their readiness to continue the partnership and implement new joint initiatives aimed at supporting the university, developing academic cooperation, and strengthening ties between the regions.
