On December 29, a cultural charity event took place in Shevchenko Hall of Yuriy Fedkovich Chernivtsi National University. It culminated in providing help to large families, internally displaced people, and children with special needs, who are taken care of by the “Charitable Foundation “ORANTA UA””.
Iryna Osovska, vice rector of scientific and pedagogical work, international and humanitarian activity of Yuriy Fedkovich Chernivtsi National University, gave a congratulatory speech where she highlighted the importance of charitable initiatives, social cohesion, and support for vulnerable categories of citizens, especially during the holiday season.
The cultural programme of the event was full of sincere feelings and gratitude: the participants, who received the charity aid, and the choreographical ensemble “Freedom” performed together, creating an atmosphere of support, unity, and holiday mood.
Within the event, the Gedankendach Centre and NGO “Ukrainian-German Cultural Society of Chernivtsi” provided finances for holiday food hampers for families in need. The initiative was organized by the NGO “Ukrainian-German Cultural Society of Chernivtsi” jointly with Yuriy Fedkovich Chernivtsi National University, sponsored by two German community organisations – Sternstunden e.V. and Lebenshilfe Ostallgäu-Kaufbeuren e.V.
During the event, on behalf of the charitable foundation “ORANTA UA”, a letter of commendation was given to the Gedankendach Centre at Yuriy Fedkovich Chernivtsi National University and NGO “Ukrainian-German Cultural Society of Chernivtsi” for their considerable contribution to charity and fruitful cooperation in the field of social help.
The event serves as an example of effective international cooperation, cultural dialogue, and shared responsibility to support those who need it the most, especially during the holiday season.
