An All-Ukrainian Chemistry Summer Camp took place at ChNU

The All-Ukrainian Chemistry Summer Camp took place at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University from July 21 to 24, bringing together 45 gifted schoolchildren from various regions of  Ukraine. Participants honed their practical skills in the modern laboratories of the Department of Chemistry and Food Product Expertise, conducted complex experimental research, and worked under the guidance of university faculty.

The camp was part of the "Student Experimental Skills Development Center: Level 2" project, implemented by the NGO "Bukovyna Innovative Foundation" in collaboration with the Department of Chemistry and Food Product Expertise at Chernivtsi National University (ChNU). The initiative was supported by the KSE Foundation and the STEM Talent Fund.

Petro Fochuk, a professor at the ChNU Department of Chemistry and Food Product Expertise and the project coordinator, noted that this is the second time the university has organized such a camp in partnership with others. According to him, the program has become even more practical, and the success of last year's camp participants at the International Chemistry Olympiad confirms its effectiveness.

The All-Ukrainian Chemistry Summer Camp has once again demonstrated that Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University is a leading center for the practical training of talented youth. Thanks to modern laboratory facilities, faculty expertise, and partnerships, students gain the opportunity to work with equipment and methodologies that enable them to successfully represent Ukraine at international scientific competitions.

The project was implemented by the NGO "Bukovyna Innovatsiina" Foundation in collaboration with the Department of Chemistry and Food Product Expertise at Chernivtsi National University, with support from the KSE Foundation and funding from the STEM Talent Fund under the Da Vinci Ukraine grant program.
