Alumni Connect: the first evening branch of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University graduates happened

The first evening branch «Alumni Connect: today, tomorrow, always» took place in the Chernivtsi dendrological park (the park of the former Residence of Bukovinian and Dalmatian Metropolitans) within the framework of activities of the Alumni Association of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University on the 26th of September. It was a unique opportunity to meet like-minded people, colleagues, and friends.

The goal of the first branch was to create a platform for alumni of all years and majors for the common development of the University and joining forces for the professional growth of graduates and students.

Olena Tsyntyla – a graduate of the Faculty of Philosophy and Theology of CHNU, a television host and journalist for the “We-Ukraine” channel, the author of projects for resisting russian propaganda on TV and YouTube, was the moderator of the event.

Also, successful projects of the Alumni Association were presented during the event. Participants had the opportunity to join initiatives aimed at the enhancement of the University’s prestige as well. Two panel discussions were held. People were communicating, sharing impressions of creating the Association, and telling about challenges and obstacles on the organisers’ way to creating the event.

The first panel was dedicated to the history of creation and the presentation of the activity of the Alumni Association of CHNU. These are the people who took part in the discussion: professor Yuriy Moseychuk, the first head of the Association; graduates Heorhiy Filipchuk, Serhiy Bostan, Hryhoriy Kukurudza, and other known representatives of the university community.

The second panel focused on the presentation of leading practices of the Alumni movement. The speakers were: head of the Alumni Association of CHNU Anna Hakman; head of the Alumni of UCU Khrystyna Hapanovych; Anton Suslov, acting as the president of the Alumni of KMA; head of the Student Union of CHNU students Mykhaylo Holovatyi.

A coffee break and some networking took place between the discussions, which encouraged laid-back conversations, building new contacts and exchanging experiences. The expectations were establishing connections between graduates, searching for partnership possibilities, and collaborations for implementations of successful projects.
