Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University continues to develop academic cooperation with leading universities in Ukraine. Within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the universities, a mutual academic exchange of students in the specialty "Mathematics" took place between our university and Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

The first stage of the exchange was the visit of students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University to Lviv, which took place from March 9 to 14. During their stay in Lviv, the students had the opportunity to join the educational process of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, attend classes, get acquainted with the features of the educational environment and communicate with students and teachers of the partner university.

The next step was the visit of students of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv to Chernivtsi, which took place from March 30 to April 3. The guests joined the educational process at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, attended classes, and talked with students and teachers. As part of the stay program, a meeting was organized for students with the Dean of the Faculty, Olga Martyniuk, during which the prospects for further development of cooperation were discussed. In particular, the topic was the possibilities of semester academic mobility, visits to individual educational components by students of partner universities, the development of joint student scientific activities, as well as the strengthening of the mathematical component in other educational programs. The students also met with teachers of the Department of Mathematical Analysis - the graduate department of the specialty "Mathematics". During the communication, the directions of scientific research of the department, the features of training specialists in mathematics, and the possibilities of further academic interaction were presented.

In addition to educational activities, an acquaintance with the university and the city was organized for students. In particular, the guests visited the architectural gem of the university - the Residence of the Metropolitans of Bukovina and Dalmatia, which is included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and also took a tour of the historical center of Chernivtsi.

The implementation of such academic exchanges contributes to the deepening of inter-university cooperation, the expansion of students' educational opportunities, the exchange of academic experience, and the development of joint educational and scientific initiatives.
