A working meeting of Ruslan Biloskurskyi, rector, and Iryna Osovska, vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work, international relations, and humanitarian work, with representatives of the Chernivtsi regional organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross society took place in Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University on the 28th of January.

Members of the Red Cross who took part in the meeting are as follows:
• Myroslava Ostrovetska, head of the Chernivtsi regional organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society
• Natalia Vizniuk, deputy head of the organization
• Kateryna Kovalska, regional specialist of youth development
• Serhii Babchuk, specialist of community engagement and openness.

The rector informed of the University’s volunteering activities, especially about the initiatives aimed at helping internally displaced people, during the meeting. The Red Cross representatives shared their own work experience and the challenges the organization faced at the start of the full-scale invasion.

The memorandum of cooperation, aimed at engaging the University’s students in educational projects and training courses implemented by the Ukrainian Red Cross, especially regarding mine safety and other relevant humanitarian areas, was signed according to the meeting’s results.

Both sides expressed hope in close, long-lasting, and fruitful cooperation.
