On January 30, as part of the archpastoral visit to the Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, a meeting was held between the head of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna eparchy of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Bishop Theognost of Chernivtsi and Bukovyna, and the rector of the university, Ruslan Biloskurskyi. The event brought together representatives of institutions of higher spiritual education of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

 The meeting was attended by the head of the Department of Spiritual Education and Theological Science of the OCU, Archpriest Oleksandr Trofymliuk, the rector of the Kyiv Orthodox Theological Academy, Archpriest Yaroslav Romanchuk, the rector of the Church of the Three Saints of the Ukrainian National University and the guarantor of the OPP "Theology" of the first (bachelor's) level, Archpriest Mykola Shcherban, the rector of the Volyn Orthodox Theological Academy, Archpriest Volodymyr Vakin, the first vice-rector of the Lviv Orthodox Theological Academy, Archimandrite Kyprian (Lozinskyi), as well as a lecturer at the Uzhhorod Ukrainian Theological Academy, secretary of the diocesan administration, Archpriest Yuriy Gal.

During the meeting, they discussed current issues of the development of theological education in Ukraine, the possibilities of inter-institutional cooperation between institutions of higher spiritual education of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and classical universities, as well as the prospects for the implementation of joint educational and scientific projects.

In his speech, Eminence Bishop Theognost emphasized the importance of integrating the theological tradition into the academic scientific environment. In particular, he emphasized the importance of cooperation between institutions of higher theological education, including the Chernivtsi Theological Seminary named after Metropolitan Yevheniy Hakman, and classical universities for the formation of a responsible and spiritually mature society.

The meeting was held as an open dialogue and became a platform for professional exchange of views on the development of theological science and spiritual education in modern conditions.
