An official meeting with representatives of CHNU’s administration, a joint event, and a tour around the city took place on the 19th of November during a visit by State Tax University’s delegation to Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.
A meeting with Dmytro Serebrianskyi, acting rector of State Tax University, took place during the official part. Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University was represented on the meeting by Iryna Osovska, vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work, international and humanitarian activity, Tetiana Fedirchyk, vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work, and educational activity, and Dmytro Fedortsov, vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work, and educational and organizational activities.
The «I’ll return as a song…» art evening, dedicated to art by Nazariy Yaremchuk, a legendary Ukrainian singer whose voice became a symbol of an era, took place in the Marble Hall in CHNU in the second part of the day.
The art band from the Centre of Culture and Leisure for Students of our University emotionally performed the «The song will be among us» composition, kicking off the event. The audience also watched a video dedicated to Nazariy Yaremchuk’s art’s significance. The host emphasized that Nazariy Yaremchuk is an integral part of Ukrainian cultural heritage, his songs unite and inspire. She also talked about the signer’s creative path. After that, all those who were present observed a minute of silence for the memory of defenders of Ukraine that have fallen.
The creative collaboration of students from Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University and State Tax University from Irpin became a unique feature of the evening. The youth united to honor Ukrainian songs and support the soldiers, despite the distance being 500 kilometers. A fundraiser took place during the event and, as a result, 12,500 hryvnias were raised for a quadcopter DJI Mavic 3T for our defenders on the Kramatorsk destination.
The viewers heard several songs by Nazariy Yaremchuk and other Ukrainian compositions: «Father and mother», «Do you hear me, mom», «Incomparable world of beauty», «Smile to me», «Waterfall», «Hey, you, Cossacks», «Pleiades», and others. Talented students from Yuriy Fedkovych CHNU and STU performed on the stage, and also invited artists: Iryna Zinkovska, Honored Artist of Ukraine, and Vasyl Danyliuk, People’s Artist of Ukraine.
The performance by People’s Artists of Ukraine Dmytro and Nazariy Yaremchuk – sons of Nazariy Yaremchuk – became the evening’s culmination. They honored their father’s memory by singing the «My brother» and «Family» songs. The concert ended with a joint performance of the song «Chervona Ruta» and a thanks to all the viewers for supporting Ukrainian culture and traditions.
Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University honors the memory of Nazariy Yaremchuk with this event. He was and still is an important figure for the whole of Ukraine.
